I love the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
It’s an exciting time. The end of the year is coming. There is lots to look forward to. People are cheery and most everyone is in the giving spirit (except Newt Gingrich, you suck pal).
Stevie is pretty much always in a giving mood, especially when it comes to taking care of street dogs. Fortunately, we haven’t had any death episodes lately, like the one in Costa Rica (click here to remember), or the one in Panama (click here to remember).
But she has adopted a street dog named Mongo. She’s been bringing him home to feed and water him. And now she is teaching him not to mark his territory in the house. Hummm, where is this going?
Stevie has also been busy with her new project of building a community school with her friends. But I think her true calling if we stayed in Huanchaco permanently, which we’re not going to do, would be to open a Yoga studio. She’s currently holding a yoga/pilate/sport class on the roof of our apartment with our friend Lauren. They have already introduced 3 women in Huanchaco to their girl power (more like Iron Man) routine.
As for me, I’ve been working balls to the wall. Yesterday was our biggest day ever at Outdoorplay. I was pretty stoked.
That’s a quick update. Carry on. – TREE
