When we asked my brother what he wanted to do while visiting us in Lima, he simply said,
“Hang out, drink really good wine, and eat really good food”
For those of you who don’t know him personally, that’s par for the course with my brother.

And so that’s exactly what we’ve been doing.

Stevie and I have used my brother’s request for good food to hit some of the best restaurants in Lima. With guidance from our friend Royce, we’ve indulged in world class Thai, French, Japanese, Mediterranean, and Peruvian cuisine.
Of course no trip to Lima would be complete without a stop at La Lucha, a world famous sandwich shop.

We also cooked some pretty good meals at home!

He’s also joined us on our daily errands. We’re enjoying frequent doctor checkups these days.

Everything is tip top with Stevie and the baby according to our latest exam. We’re just counting down the weeks now.

Below Stevie rides the Metropolitano on our way to downtown Lima one night.

My brother braving a cab ride with Jesus riding shot gun on the dashboard.

Below is a picture from L’Eau Vivre, a french restaurant run by Carmelite French nuns in an 18th century building in historic Lima. As we were finishing up our dessert of crepes flambeau, the Sisters gathered to sing us Ave Maria in both french and spanish. Stevie loved it! She’s got a thing for nuns.

It was great having Adam in town, although the time went by way too fast. He’s off to see Machu Picchu now. We’ll see him on his way back to the states, but only for a night. Sigh… we sure do miss family!

I love this post for 2 reasons: firstly, I LOVE all of the photos of beautiful Adam, especially the one of you two in the Dr’s office (and all of the smiling ones). And secondly, I love seeing that baby girl grow!
Stevie, you somehow manage to be more radiant and even more beautiful in every photo I see of you. How is that?
