Well, our 3 week family vacation in Mexico is finally over. That really flew by!
I put together a video of the trip. Check it out below…
Here are the final round of photos from Cozumel. Below, some fun days diving…
Lately Soleil has been into wearing anything and everything that Mama wears, including her earplugs…
Below, Stevie and Cyndi at the lobster dinner…
Indra and Brent
Soleil is still into climbing any and everything. Honestly people, we’re not pushing her. She seeks it out. We’re just trying to keep an eye on her so we can give her safety spots.
Now, having said that, we also never say NO to anything she wants to climb. If she shows an interest in climbing it, we let her, even if that means we’re practically lifting her up the climb. This seems to draw a lot of concerned looks from other parents, but I don’t really care. I want Soleil to believe that she can do anything.

Stevie’s sister – Alexis, Phil, and Abigail
My sister – Indra, Brent, Nica, and Theo
Pa and Nana
All the cousins together!
The whole family! (missing Cyndi)
We owe a special thanks to my father, Pa – for the room at First Club, the incredible bottles of boutique tequila we’re taking home, and countless other generosities.
And another special thanks to my sister, Indra – for help with the flights from South America, the high-rolling tips left around the island, and countless other generosities.
So what’s next?
First, we fly back to Santiago, Chile to pick up the van and Kiki. Then we’ve got a loooonnngggg drive across the South American continent to Buenos Aires. We have an apartment rented there for a month. My Mom is coming down to visit, so that’s gonna be a blast. After that, we’ll point the van north and travel through Uruguay and into Brazil where we plan to spend the rest of the year.
We don’t have much of a plan for Brazil other than looking for good surfing and rock climbing while trying to avoid the crazy World Cup.
Should be interesting!
